Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

 The Thesis Title is the comparative study of the nature of graduate thesis between the Buddhist Studies and Educational Administration Programme Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. There are 2 objectives as follows, 1) to analyze the format and nature of graduate thesis between the Buddhist Studies and Educational Administration Programmes in Mahachulalongkorn-rajavidyalaya University, 2) to compare its format of graduate thesis in both Buddhist Studies and Educational Administration.

From the result of study is found that the writing on thesis of Buddhist Studies Programme is the same as the nature of Educational Administration Programme. The difference is, the characteristic of research of Buddhist Studies Programme is the qualitative study emphasizing the study on the real situation, flexible research, and analysis of data. Then, the mostly Educational Administration Programme is the quantitative study which focus on the method of knowledge finding and the reality by emphasizing the numerical data to control studied variable.

 

The scope of research on Buddhist Studies Programme, sine 2551 – 2553 B.E., there are 132 titles of graduated thesis, which can be divided into 3 categories, 1) The 72 books of Buddhadhamma, the average is 54.55 %, most are qualitative research, although, some of them are mixed between qualitative and quantitative research. It slightly is appearance. 2) The average is 3.03 % of 4 books of Buddhist Arts. Most are qualitative research of the Buddhist Architecture, Sculpture, and work of Arts on Buddhism which are concerned by the way of life, value, custom, and Thai culture. 3) The average is 42.42 % of 56 books of modern science, most are the qualitative research which mix with others science and integrate into Buddhism such Science, Humanities, Social Science, etc.

The scope of research Educational Administration Programme, since 2551-2553 B.E. there are 54 titles of graduated thesis which can be divided into 3 categories, 1) the 35 books of educational location administration. The average is 64.81 %, most are the quantitative research focusing on the administration such as administration on works, time, and person etc. 2) The average is 18.52 % of 10 books of Sangha Activity Administration, most are quantitative research focusing on the Sangha Administration for convenience and following the Buddha’s rules., 3) the average is 19 % of books of application of Dhamma into Administration, most are quantitative research focusing on the integration of Buddhadhamma into Educational Administration.

The comparison between Buddhist Studies and Educational Administration Programme in the process of writing on thesis, the characteristic, details, scope, and the result of research, it is found that there are the similarity and difference such as the result of writing on thesis of achievement and effect in any activities. The similarity is in the preparation of lecturers, using the technology and capability of various activities management making knowledge and understanding actually, it has the higher result of achievement and effect. Then, the difference is in the measurement and evaluation by the evaluating from the behavior doing together. It has developed the knowledge in the way of life rightly. The measurement only is emotional intelligence by interpretation that one who is good emotional intelligence is the character of happy one. One the other hand, the difference of training from sample group of thesis in both Buddhist Studies and Educational Administration is found that the training of Buddhaputta Project is the various activities, wisdom occur the moment but the practice of Samadhi toward emotional intelligence still is developed. It can be seen that the training in various way can develop the learner clearly more than the achievement etc.
