The study consisted of three main objectives, namely, i) to study the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram; ii) to study the factors influencing the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram, Muang District, Samutprakan Province; and iii) to study the problems and obstacles the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram, Muang District, Samutprakan Province. This study employed mixed method. The sample used in this study consisted of 300 residents and Buddhist monks living in Wat Asokaram who took part in activities for creating corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Mangrove forest. There are five key informants being interviewed in this study. The tools used for data collection were questionnaire and interview schedule. The gathered data were analyzed by using statistical techniques such as frequencies, percentage, mean and standard deviation. To test the hypotheses, t-test and F-Test (One Way Analysis of Variance). The data collected from in-depth interview were analyzed by Content Analysis technique.
The findings of this study are concluded as follows:
1. The overall opinions of respondents relating to the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram, Muang District, Samutprakan Province, were found at the high level. When considered into each aspect, it was noticed at the high levels in all aspects, ranging from the most to the least: planning, environment protection, participation, performance, and goal achievement strategies, respectively.
2. To compare opinions relating to the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram, Muang District, Samutprakan Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that level of education and frequencies of Project participation have significant differences at 0.01 level of confidence, thus accepting formulated hypotheses, whereas sex, age, occupation, monthly income, working position, information perception and participation of Mangrove forest development were found no significant differences, therefore rejecting set hypothesis.
3. The problems and obstacles the creation process of corporate social responsibility of business organization in area of Wat Asokaram, Muang District, Samutprakan Province, revealed that i) for planning: there is no covering public relations, ii) for goal achievement strategies: strategies to carry out according to the plan of Business organization lack of clear goals, iii) for participation: people have little chance to participate in activities, iv) for performance, there were no clear steps of conserving and revitalizing Mangrove forest, and v) for environment protection: there is no enough number of young plant sprouts to numbers of people who take part in activities.
