The objective of this research are : 1) to study the role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy of Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province, 2) to compare the opinion of the people on the role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy of Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province, classified by the personal factors and 3) to study a problems, obstacles and a suggestion about the role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy of Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province. The study is a mixed research by means of applying qualitative. The sample consisted of the people with the age of 20 years upward. The selection of the 377 from the 6,545 people in the area of Thamo Sub-district was made by means of sampling according to the used formula sample size Taro Yamane. The equipment used in collection data or facts was composed of a set of questionnaires. The analysis of the data was done by the sociological readymade programmed for researching. The statistics used in analyzing the general data of the sample consisted of frequency and percentage. The statistics employed in analyzing the level of the opinions on the role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life Sufficiency Economy philosophy were comprised of Frequencies, Means, and Standard Deviation. The hypothesis test was done in order to describe the data of the private or personal factors. The t-test was used for taking a test of the difference between the means of two groups. F-test was done by means of analyzing One way ANOVA in order to do the test of the difference of Means from the three group upwards. The test of the difference of the Means in each pair was done by Least Significant Difference : LSD. And qualitative studies with an in-depth interview being applied to the sample who granted data
The research results revealed that :
1) The Role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy in Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province. Included in the average level of 3.48 when considering the high level found in every aspect. With an average of descending order is the policy projects with an average 3.56 people in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy is average. 3.47 and 3.46 with an average education support . Encourage community networks , the average is 3.46 and the prototype has an average 3.46 ) .
2) Compare the level of public opinion on the role of Sub-district and Village Leader in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy in Thamo Sub-district. By personal factors , including gender, age, education, occupation and income have found that people with age, education , income and occupation, has a different opinion on the village headman in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy in Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province differences statistically significant at the 0.01 level for the people who have differing opinions toward the Sub-district and Village Leader 's role in promoting the philosophy of sufficiency economy life working in parishes . the Thamo Sub-district Prasat District, Surin Province . Did not differ statistically significant at the 0.05 level .
3 ) Problems and suggestions about the village headman 's role in Promoting the way of life on Sufficiency Economy philosophy. The lack of public participation in the formulation of policies. Determined from top to bottom , a policy that is not consistent with the needs of people in the area. People in the area still lacks insight into life along the sufficiency economy philosophy . Lack of specialist personnel to educate people to live the philosophy of sufficiency economy. Lack of funding and leadership is not sufficient to promote learning in community and economic exchange within the community and other communities . Lack of unity among the community has to ensue . Encouraging people to live by the philosophy delay discrete agricultural self-sufficiency is not enough. The recommendation should allow the people in the area have been involved in the policies, programs , promotional activities , living the philosophy of sufficiency economy. Seeking success and knowledge should be determined in accordance with the project budget should be based activities into the sublime states and communities should promote the development and ongoing evaluation of each project activity.
