Abstract

ABSTRACT

             The research has 3 purposes : 1)  to study the concept of Wealth in Buddhism 2) to study the wealth management in Buddhism and 3) to study the ways to apply the wealth management in Buddhist principles in daily life.

             From the research study, it is found that the wealth in Buddhism is the external asset, the wordly wealth which can cause the human beings to hold and to be attracted, illusive and pleased. The said wealth is of two types, namely:- 1. The movable wealth. If it is the material, it may be of the form or of the formless one. However, these two kinds of wealth are of importance for the way of leading the life for looking after the people, their families, friends including the 5 ways of sacrifices and making the merits. Besides, the wealth is the measurement of the success ’governor and is the factor supporting the building up of noble wealth without the eager and can help the people to have wisdom enabling the people to act towards the wealth which is of the disadvantage arising from the search, the usage and the natural law which is changable and unsustainable and the people must die and go away from the wealth at the end.

              The management of the wealth according to the principle of the 4 Ditthadhammikattha-sanivattanikadhammas, namely:- the Diligence, the knowledge of saving, the association of the good men as the friends and the properly spending all of which can build up state of living to be strong and full of the gains, the title and credit and long life all of which are accepted in societies. The division of the wealth according to the prinaple of “Bhogavibhaga” is divided into 4 parts to build up the Vinaya in the course of money. Part 1. to spend the money usefully according the principle of 5 Bhoga – Adiyas and to prevend the six dictions not be in trouble. Part 2 and 3 to bring the money for investment. Part 4 to preserve the money to be used at the proper time with the help of Catu-Iddhipãda and Kula-Ciratthita-Dhamma. The principle of Catu-Sangaha-Vathu will be applies for holding the peoples’s minds in societies to cause the harmony to arise for helping one another and to build up the good civilization with the Buddhist way in order to help the people in the societies to be of good life qualities and to live together happily.

    The way to apply the wealth management in Buddhism will help the people to be of primary happiness by solving the problems of the failure in building up the state of life. However, the management of the received wealth to be of high benefit can solve the problem of lacking the money principles.

    The spending of the money to be useful for the societies will help us to solve the problems of living together in the societies. So, the understanding and the approach to the way of approaching the wealth with mindfulness and wisdom will bring the economical sustainability, the societies will be strong and the country will be peaceful.
