ABSTRACT

          This research had 3 objectives: 1) to study the efficiency  of administration in accordance with Iddhipadadham (path of accomplishment) for Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province; 2) to make comparative study on the people’s opinions towards the efficiency of administration in accordance with Iddhipada 4 for Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province; and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions concerning the efficiency  of administration in accordance with Iddhipadadham for Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province.

          This study was carried out through the Mixed Method Research application consisting of quantitative, survey and qualitative research. Data collecting by distributing the questionnaire was used the qualitative research, the In-Depth Interviews with key informants was selected in this study. The sampling group designed using Taro Yamane’s formula consisted of 358 persons. The questionnaire used in this study was treated to get reliability at 0.887. Data analysis was done through the statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD to compare the differences of the mean in pair.

The results of this research of this study revealed as  follows

1)       The efficiency  of administration in accordance with Iddhipada 4 in Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province, showed the average at the middle level (X=3.20). When considered  each item ranging from high to low og the means., The values showed respectively that : Chanda : (aspiration)was (X=3.34), Vimamsa: (investigation) (X=3.19X, Viriya: (energy)was (X=3.18) and Citta: (thoughtfulness) was (X=3.10).

2) The result of the comparative study on the people’s opinions towards the efficiency  of administration in accordance with Iddhipadadham in Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province classified by personal factors, it showed that the people of different sexes, ages, educational levels, careers and incomes took no different opinion of all items, so the hypothesis was denied.

3) The problem, obstacles and suggestions concerning the efficiency  of administration in accordance with Iddhipadadham for Thalo Municipal District, MuangPhichit District, Phichit Province,  revealed that the problems and obstacles found involved  the lack of intention and interest to study of seeking for the accurate performance, good accomplishment and lack of performing with efficiency. The personnel should be developed to be well-educated and should know  how to administrate applying Iddhipadadham into their jobs. The personnel and staff should be trained to be diligent in performing their jobs and to love their own organization.

          For the suggestions, the executives should apply Iddhipada 4 into the jobs for both the staffs and executives themselves in the organization. They showed the process of operation with efficiency. The training on Dhamma Doctrine should be handled for  staff and government officers to get better performances.
