Intergration on Four Iddhipada in Administration of Basic Educational Schools under Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

The aims of this research were 1) to study the conditions of the integration of the Four Iddhipada (iddhipāda, the paths of accomplishment) in the administration of the basic education schools under the Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 4; 2) to compare the of the integration of the Four Iddhipada in the aforesaid area based on the personal factors of the samples classified by their positions, school sizes and working experiences; 3) to study the suggestion to promote and develop the integration of the Four Iddhipada  in the administration of the basic education schools under the Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. The samples of this research included 414 educational administrators and 327 teachers (in total 468). The targeted group included 9 administrators and 12 teachers (in total 21). The research tools were the five rating scale questionnaire with its reliability value of .97 and the interview. The statistics used to interpret the data were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test (Independent Sample), f-test (One Way ANOVA) and Scheffe’s Method. The gathered data were analyzed by the descriptive analysis.

The research result were as follows:

The mean values of both overall and each studied aspect of the conditions of the integration of the Four Iddhipada in the administration of the basic education schools under the Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 were rated at a high level ( = 4.44). The highest score can be seen in the aspect of Vīmasā (investigation), followed by that of Viriya (energy); Chanda (aspiration) and the least was found in that of Citta (thoughtfulness), ( = 4.37).

Based on the comparative study the of the integration of the Four Iddhipada in the aforesaid area based on the personal factors of the samples classified by their positions, the overall mean of this practice was differentiated with the statistical significance value of .01; this accepted the set hypothesis. The mean score of the practice of the administrators was higher than that of the teachers. Seen in the aspects studied, the mean values of the aspects of the administration based on Chanda and Vīmasā were different with the statistical significance value of .01 while that of the aspect of the administration based on Viriya was differentiated with the statistical significance value of .05 and indifference of the practice was seen in the aspect of Citta.

The suggestion to promote and develop the integration of the Four Iddhipada (iddhipāda, the paths of accomplishment) in the administration of the basic education schools under the Udonthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 was that in the aspect of the administration based on Chanda, the school administrators and teachers should have love or aspiration for teaching and learning development and provide a training, a study visits, following up of works with transparency, create morale for personnel in educational institutions; in the aspect of the administration based on Viriya, the school administrators and teachers should have an energy for teaching and learning development and provide a training, a study visits, following up of works with transparency, create morale for personnel in educational institutions; in the aspect of the administration based on Citta, the school administrators and teachers should have mental investigation for teaching and learning development and provide a training, a study visits, following up of works with transparency, create morale for personnel in educational institutions; in the aspect of Vīmasā, the school administrators and teachers should have thoughtfulness for teaching and learning development and provide a training, a study visits, following up of works with transparency, create morale for personnel in educational institutions.
