Abstract

This research was aimed to study the state of Sangha administration on educational welfare, to study the development of Sangha administration on educational welfare, and to propose a guideline of Sangha administration development on educational welfare in Bangkokyai district of Bangkok. The quantitative data were collected questionnaires from 222 monks and analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were obtained by interviews with 5 key-informants and analyzed by content analysis. The research results found that:

            1. The state of Sangha administration on educational welfare in Bangkokyaii district of Bangkok in four aspects was appropriate at a moderate level.

            2. The development of Sangha administration development on educational welfare in Bangkokyai district of Bangkok was that; the temple abbots and the abbot assistants must have Brahmavihara Dhamma, give assistances to schools and communities, support Dhamma studies and Pali studies, give scholarships to teachers and students, use pro-active propagation through Website, Internet and other applications, and help schools and communities in crisis situations or disaster.

            3. Proposed guidelines for promoting Sangha administration development on educational welfare in Bangkokyai district of Bangkok were that; to establish of Fund - Raising fund - Providing scholarships to students and youth thoroughly, to provide financial assistance and public benefits to communities, to develop temple as educational resources, and to arrange activities on the important Buddhist holidays.
